Big Tour News

The Police reunion tour is doing just what the band and tour promoters had hoped -- it's selling out. The demand for tickets has been so great that second shows have been added in Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, and Boston -- and stadium shows have been announced for Los Angeles, Oakland, and East Rutherford, New Jersey. Tickets for two shows at Madison Square Garden in New York sold out in minutes yesterday. The tour starts May 28th in Vancouver, Canada. Sting is currently on tour in Europe with a show in Florence, Italy tonight.

The Van Halen reunion with David Lee Roth is still "indefinitely postponed." No one associated with the band or the tour was willing to go on the record about the situation yesterday, but in the afternoon Pollstar, the concert industry trade magazine, reported the same news we broke yesterday morning.
