As Republicans begin airing ads in Indiana, an exclusive WSBT/South Bend Tribune poll shows the race for president is as tight as ever.
Michiana News Channel reports: It’s A Close One.
In the Indiana Governor’s race, a new South Bend Tribune/WSBT poll found statewide, 47% of likely voters supported Republican governor Mitch Daniels. The poll says 46% said they support Democrat Jill Long Thompson.
The poll also shows a tight race between Presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama in the Hoosier state. McCain is beating Obama by just a point…46 to 45%.
Craig makes a great point: where was this poll taken? If it was up here, that makes sense. How much of the state was canvassed?
