The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame hasn't yet made its official announcement of the Class of 2009, but we've learned that Jeff Beck, Metallica, Run-D-M-C and Wanda Jackson have all gotten the call that they are in. And word on the street is that Little Anthony and the Imperials and Bobby Womack have also been elected. This will be Beck's second induction -- he went in as a member of The Yardbirds in 1992 and inducted Rod Stewart in 1994. He once told us he is not a fan of the hall, saying, "It's sort of a back-scratch mutual admiration society... I really don't see much sense in it. We don't need to be told how great somebody is and have them put in a museum." The induction ceremony will be held April 4th in Cleveland. This year's other nominees were Chic, The Stooges and War. --Sal Cirrincione, Premiere
