The tribute concert to Brad Delp, the Boston singer who killed himself in March, is set for August 19th at the Bank of America Pavilion in Boston. Dubbed Come Together, it will feature a performance by the remaining members of the most recent lineup. The group's Tom Scholz says, "We plan to perform six or seven songs. Mickey Thomas (Jefferson Starship) and Sammy Hagar have all offered to sing in place of Brad. We have also invited [original members] Barry Goudreau, Fran Sheehan and Sib Hashian to join us on stage for the last song, 'Don't Look Back,' which will be sung by Fran Cosmo." Cosmo replaced Delp in Boston in the '80s, but before Delp's death, they'd asked Cosmo not asked to be part of Boston's 2007 summer tour, which has since been canceled. Also scheduled for the show, which is being organized by Delp's son and daughter, are Cheap Trick singer Robin Zander and former Extreme and Van Halen singer Gary Cherone. Proceeds will go to the Brad Delp Foundation, which funds charities that Delp worked with.
