Today's "Thing That Would Extremely Suck"
More than 100 holidaymakers, including 24 Britons, were dramatically rescued from freezing waters in the Antarctic Ocean after abandoning ship when their cruise liner hit a submerged iceberg and began to sink.
Beg pardon?
On a cruise ship, seven thousand miles from anywhere, in extremely cold waters at the ass end of the world, and some bastard ignores the cries of "Iceberg Dead Ahead", a'la the Titanic?
No thank you. I'd love to see Antarctica someday, visit the inspriation for my novel that's nearly done being edited, watch the penguins hop around on the rocks and shit all over the beach, feel that frost on my face. That would be cool...in January when it's tolerable.
But I don't need to see it that badly...
