Lux Interior Dead At 60

Turns out life indeed IS "short, and filled with stuff..."
A punk rock icon from my teenage years is gone. Lux and his band The Cramps were the first to really fold Alice Cooper-like horror into punk. Kids who love Marylin Manson owe Lux a big thanks. But The Cramps were deeper than that, and I wore out two tapes of Bad Music For Bad People in the late '80s.
Here’s a clip of The Cramps, from the early days in the '70s, playing at Napa State Mental Hospital. And yes, those are actual patients wandering among the band.
